Structural Design

Design of load-bearing structures is just one of high-quality services we offer. We have proven our expertise in this field by designing a number of significant and complex structures. This service is mostly available in combination with other engineering and consultancy services.

Selection of the right type of the load-bearing structure is a precondition for successful completion of all other construction works. The structure should thus be designed in a way that matches the type of the construction project in terms of technical, financial and technological aspects.

We are especially proud of our in-depth knowledge of precast concrete structures. Our employees are top-notch experts when it comes to design, production or assembly of precast reinforced concrete (RC) structures. They have introduced both new technologies and materials in production of precast structures and have been involved in implementation of large-scale projects in precast production.
In addition to precast reinforced concrete, we also design traditional RC structures, wall and steel structures, as well as composite steel-concrete structures. Our company is also relatively well experienced in design of geo-technical structures. The company’s employees in charge of design are all members of the Croatian Chamber of Civil Engineers.

One of our company’s employees has written and defended a thesis on prestressed concrete structures and has specialised in prefabricated construction.

Structural Design Includes the Following Units:

– main design (structural analysis).
– detailed design.

In order to carry out complete structural analysis, we use best modern applications for load- bearing analysis. We can provide complete services in the following areas of civil engineering: high rise projects; in
particular, buildings for tourist, commercial, business and production purposes, sports facilities and residential buildings; low rise projects: road structures (bridges, overpasses, underpasses etc.) and marine structures (breakwaters, marinas – docks). In addition to the above-mentioned services, we also provide expert analysis of the existing structures / units / parts thereof in terms of mechanical resistance and stability.

Desulphurisation Project within Ugljevik Coal Power Plant, Republika Srspka

Description of activities: The company was a part of the consortium led by Austrian companies Christoph Group – ANDRITZ ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT GMBH to prepare a bid to execute
construction and carpentry works and ground works within the plant. The company’s task was to prepare preliminary statical analysis of main parts of the plant (office building, gypsum storage silo, ground work etc.) with the construction calculation.

Description of the structure: The Pula SC included two structures, A and B expansion joints. The A expansion joint has been constructed by using RC monolith ceiling slabs, supporting
RC columns in a point-like manner. Roof construction is a laminated covered wood structure in the form of wooden sandwich panels. The B expansion joint has been constructed by RC columns, supported by the laminated wood roof structure. Both expansion joints have been connected by steel overhangs.

Projekt odsumporavanja u sklopu Termoelektrane Ugljevik, Republika Srpska

Opis aktivnosti: Dio tima u sklopu konzorcija Austrijskih firmi Christoph Group – ANDRITZ ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT GMBH za potrebe izrade ponude za izvođenje građevinsko-obrtničkih radova i radova temeljenja objekata u sklopu postrojenja. Angažman je podrazumijevao preliminarni statički proračun bitnih dijelova postrojenja (upravne zgrade, silosa gipsa, temeljenja i slično) sa kalkulacijom izgradnje.
